7 Fascinating Facts About April Babies

on

All in all, we’ve been getting some gorgeous weather this April. With thousands of daffodils, tulips, cherry blossoms, and magnolias beginning to pop up, new little farm animals joining herds, and the first of those warm, sunny days, April is a great time of year. And if you’re expecting a new addition this month or have already given birth, there couldn’t be a more ideal time. April seems to produce some truly great kids, which may be partly due to our sunny dispositions at this time of year. So, what else makes your April baby so great (you know, besides the fact that they’re yours)? In this article, we take a look at 7 fascinating facts that you may not know about April babies.

April Babies Get Two Birth Flowers

April babies are lucky enough to get two birth flowers the daisy (my personal favorite!) and the sweet pea. While there is no definite information out there about how each birth flower is assigned, it is most likely due to the natural growing period of that flower during a particular season. While the sweet pea signifies blissful pleasure, the daisy conveys innocence, loyal love, and purity.

You Could Have An Aries Or Taurus

Astrologically speaking, your baby will either be a ram (March 22 to April 21) or a bull (April 22 to May 21), which both represent some remarkable characters in history (think Thomas Jefferson for Aries and William Shakespeare for Taurus!). Aries are known for being confident and active and are passionate go-getters, while Taurus babies are often happy, down-to-earth children - with just a touch of a stubborn streak!

All April Babies Are Diamonds

April babies are the only ones out there who get to claim the diamond as their both stone, making this a truly special month! The diamond symbolizes clarity and strength and quite literally derives from the word “invincible” in the Greek language. A perfect fact to share with your little April diamond!

They Could Share A Birthday With The Queen

Are you enjoying watching Netflix’s The Crown? If so, you may love the fact that your baby may end up sharing their birthday with the Queen (and at the very least, they’ll definitely end up sharing her birth month!). The Queen was born on April 21, 1926, making her just on the cusp of being an Aries and Taurus.

April Babies Are More Likely to be Healthy Humans

While this may or may not have any truth to it, a 2015 study by the Washington Post suggested that your birth month may affect lifetime disease risk. The study included 1,749,400 individuals with records at New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center, who were born between 1900 and 2000. The results? April babies, along with those born in February, March, May, and July, were at the lowest risk of disease.

They’re Happy Babies

If you’re looking for scientific as opposed to astrological evidence, studies have shown that the season that you're born in may influence your personality traits! March, April, and May babies score high on the hyperthymia scale. While this may sound a little scary, it actually means general optimism and is a good thing. As a result, April’s babies tend to be more upbeat, happy children!

April Babies Are Naturally Empathic

Babies who are born in April are known for being exceptionally receptive to emotions and feel both their own and other’s emotions deeply. Heading back to an astrological point of view, Aries babies are known for their ability to deeply connect with animals, while Taurus babies tend to mirror other’s emotions into their own bodies.
